Example Scenario
100 Mbps internet connection
Enter 100 with unit Mbps. The calculator shows 100 Mbps = 12.5 MB/s (decimal) or 11.92 MiB/s (binary). At this rate the link moves about 43.9 GB per hour and about 1.05 TB per day of continuous transfer.

1 byte = 8 bits. Mbps is megabits per second; MB/s is megabytes per second.

The calculator assumes the full nominal rate. Protocol overhead, latency, retransmissions, and shared links reduce real throughput.

At full speed, 1 Gbps moves 108,000 MB per hour, or about 2.59 TB per day in decimal units.
Internet plans quote megabits per second, and real throughput is reduced by overhead, latency, Wi-Fi interference, and the server's upload capacity.
